Take a walk
The house is a cocoon that you will not want to leave.
But Provence has so much to offer that it would be a shame not to go out for a walk...

-
On foot in the village, for lovers of old stones, glasses on the terrace or decoration stores, or those who want to stretch their legs at the tennis club or the children's play area.
-
By bike around, for adventurers who want to discover the surrounding villages and vineyards, or sports enthusiasts who want to explore the reliefs - up to Ventoux for the most motivated!
-
By car in the region, to explore the hidden wonders of the Luberon to the East, the city of the Popes to the West, the Baronnies of Provence to the North, or even the natural massifs of the Alpilles to the South.
The village
Venasque is a gem: classified as one of the Most beautiful villages in France, its history is rich, its architecture is beautiful, its views are breathtaking, and its inhabitants and merchants are worth meeting.

Beyond the charm, its shops, restaurants, workshops or galleries are also worth the detour - all within a minute's walk of the house!
Among our favorites:
-
the bakery Au Fournil whose bread and pastries quickly become daily essentials!
-
the grocery store Epicerie originale and its cheeses, cold meats, fresh vegetables and fruits, and above all a very beautiful cellar of regional wines.
-
The shops Parenthese, clothing and decoration concept store, Au Cabanon de Marius, crafts and souvenirs, or even at Camille's pottery workshop.
-
And finally the restaurants: Le Petit chose, with its terrace and good cuisine open all day, or even Les Remparts, with its menu of regional dishes and its breathtaking view.

The surrounding countryside
Venasque is bordered by many magnificent villages and historic sites:
-
to the south: Senanque Abbey, the village of Gordes and the ocher trail;
-
to the north: the Dentelles de Montmirail, Mont Ventoux and numerous vineyards
-
to the east and south: the flea markets and antique dealers of Pernes-les-Fontaines and Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.

The region
Provence has a lot to offer you, and the car is still the best way to explore it in more depth.
Arles, with its arenas and its beautiful international photo festival from July to September,
Aix en Provence, with its classic architecture and its Jazz festival in July,
Marseille, with its numerous monuments or museums, and its coves...
